Copal rojo resin (Bursera hindsiana), rarity!

Scientific name: Bursera hindsiana (not sure of the species yet)
Family: Burseraceae
Common names: Copal rojo

Origin: West MexicoDiscovered on my last trip to Mexico – Guatemala (June, July 2022), this rarity was given to me by a dear collaborator of mine in the Oaxaca region.

Unfortunately I have not had direct contact with the plant since it was not in the same province, I promise myself for the next trip to better document this magnificent tree.

Aroma: reminiscent of myrrh with more fruity notes, hints of pineapple.
Features: melts completely on charcoal, easy to pulverize or dissolve in alcohol.
