This, together with Agarwood, Sandalwood and Palo Santo are sticks made from a single single material, in this case from the Bulnesia sarmientoi tree, a medium-sized tree that lives in the scrublands of Paraguay and Northern Argentina.
From its wood a resin similar to a partially solid honey is obtained, its wood has always been used by the Guaranì people for medicinal purposes, similar to its more precious but protected cousin, Guaiacum sanctum or G. officinale, also called Lignum-vitae.
For native populations it is used as the Palo Santo to purify environments from negative energies or entities.
Aroma; Little sweet, warm, woody, slightly toasted and pungent.
