Balga, incense stick single test

10.00

Description

This incense is part of a collection I create as individual materials to showcase the beauty of nature, called Single tests.

In this case, the incense is made with Balga resin, also known as Grass Tree or Black Boy, but I advise against calling it that because it constitutes racial discrimination.

Scientific name: Xanthorrhoea preissi or other species of the Xanthorrhoea genus are very long-lived plants. They belong to the Asphodelaceae family and have been used by Aboriginal people since time immemorial for various purposes, including as a glue and fixative for arrowheads. The resin is, or rather, was, always burned during certain ceremonies.

Unfortunately, the native culture of this continent is increasingly degrading, slowly losing its ancient traditions, especially the Dream Time.

Glass container with 15 sticks inside, each stick burns for approximately 45 minutes.
