I’m on my 53rd album, 2024 was a less prolific year, at least in musical compositions, I focused a lot on developing content on one of my YouTube channels dedicated to travel, ethnobotany, aromas ….

I admit, however, that I’m very satisfied with the creation of this new project, it was quite challenging in looking for new sounds and atmospheres that could satisfy what I had in mind.

The Truth Lies Beyond represents the controversy of social conditioning from what we seek inside.

What is the truth? and when we have a problem, how do we try to deal with it? You can find answers in a religion, from a friend, a teacher, a doctor, sometimes in a book, we want to hear what we need, and often it works, or what resonates better in us at that moment, so is it an absolute truth? I would say no, it is subjective, therefore, a truth made up of many realities can exist.

In everyday life, how much does the truth you seek coincide with what you perceive on the outside?

It is one of the many searches of the human being and unfortunately also one of the reasons for many, too many wars.

It is an ascent to awareness, a river of energy that heads towards a mouth, the sea of ​​consciousness. The tracks want to be the representation of this internal path.

The initial Synth nave wants to be a pulsation, like an intermittent light, or like an old neon that can’t turn on, for a moment it illuminates and shows you a path and the moment after total darkness, I imagine like a cascade of nervous impulses that irradiate all the connections, neuro-transmitters like the tree of life develop upwards.

Monophonic circuits extend a melody like in an enchanted ribbon, with a succession of fragmented and complex rhythms, managed by granular effects and fleets of delays.

Invisible river and The Smell of Twilight, are slower and calmer passages, the light loops hidden between carpets and a distant voice that calls and invites to deep quiet, I thank Chiara Sgreva for allowing me to manipulate and use her voice.

In The Truth Lies Beyond and Domino we find two songs punctuated by sequences and light percussions, the rhythmic and melodic variations represent an inconstant decision to close the path. Melodic surges, at first slow and rarefied then tumultuous and full of pathos, ambiguous instruments, one moment it seems like a Handpan and the next moment a string instrument, then woodwinds, you can’t get distracted.

In all the tracks with percussions I wanted to represent the heartbeat, overall a fluid and organic rhythm.

Sono al 53′ album, il 2024 è stato un anno meno prolifero, almeno nelle composizioni musicali, mi sono concentrato molto nello sviluppare contenuti su uno dei miei canali YouTube dedicato a viaggi, etnobotanica, aromi ….
Ammetto però che sono molto soddisfatto della creazione di questo nuovo progetto, é stato piuttosto impegnativo nel cercare nuove sonorità e atmosfere che potessero soddisfare ciò che avevo in testa.
The Truth Lies Beyond rappresenta la controversia del condizionamento sociale da quello che cerchiamo dentro.
Cosa è la verità? e quando abbiamo un problema in che maniera cerchiamo di affrontarlo? Puoi trovare risposte in una religione, da un amico, un maestro, un dottore, a volte in un libro, vogliamo sentire quello che abbiamo di bisogno, e spesso funziona, o che in quel momento risuona meglio in noi, per tanto è una verità assoluta? direi di no, è soggettiva, quindi, può esistere una verità fatta di tante realtà.
Nella vita quotidiana, quanto coincide la verità che cerchi con quello che percepisci all’esterno?
È una delle tante ricerche dell’essere umano e purtroppo anche uno dei motivi di tante, troppe guerre.

È una ascesa alla consapevolezza, un fiume di energia che si dirige verso una foce, il mare della coscienza. Le tracce vogliono essere la rappresentazione di questo percorso, interno.
La navata di Synth iniziale vuole essere una pulsazione, come una luce a intermittenza, o come un vecchio neon che non riesce ad accendersi, per un attimo illumina e ti mostra un percorso e il momento dopo il buio totale, immagino come una cascata di impulsi nervosi che irradiano tutte le connessioni, neuro-trasmettitori come l’albero della vita si sviluppano verso l’alto.
Circuiti monofonici estendono una melodia come in un nastro incantato, con un susseguirsi di ritmiche frammentate e complesse, gestite da effetti granulari e flotte di delay.
Invisible river e The Smell of Twilight, sono passaggi più lenti e pacati, i leggeri loop nascosti fra tappeti e una voce in lontananza che richiama e invita alla quiete profonda, ringrazio Chiara Sgreva per aver concesso di manipolare e utilizzare la sua voce.
In The Truth Lies Beyond e Domino troviamo due brani cadenzati da sequenze e leggere percussioni, le varianti ritmiche e melodiche rappresentano una incostante decisione a chiudere il percorso. Impennate melodiche, da prima lente e rarefatte poi tumultuose e cariche di patos, strumenti ambigui, un momento sembra un Handpan e un momento dopo uno strumento a corde, poi legni, non puoi distrarti.

In tutte le tracce con percussioni ho voluto rappresentare la pulsazione cardiaca, nel complesso una ritmica fluida ed organica.
