This large tree is endemic to the forests of Madagascar, increasingly threatened by the indiscriminate cuts and fires that burn these splendid territories to make room for anthropization, cultivation and breeding.
Not to be confused with the Ravintsara which is Cinnamomum canphora, imported by the Chinese centuries ago.

Aroma; balsamic, herbaceous.
