My main passion and ethics is to support small businesses, sometime only few families looking to develop. Prices are often lower because I have no intermediaries, contacts are always direct with producers and I am on their side.
HISTORY
In Malaysia, India, China and Japan this oil has long been used for therapeutic purposes for nausea, headaches, colds, diarrhea, abdominal pain and halitosis.
* Patchouly was introduced in Britain around 1820, when Indian fabrics became fashionable.
* Paisley shawls were scented with Patchouli to make them more exotic.
* From the nineteenth century the leaves are placed between the linen and the clothes to protect them from moths.

THERAPEUTIC AND DOMESTIC USE
* At a therapeutic level it is highly appreciated above all for the treatment of various skin pathologies: in local applications, diluted from 5 to 10% in vegetable oil or liquid wax, it shows a remarkable efficacy against dermatoses linked to excess sebum, inflammatory states and allergic in particular against mycosis, for which together with tea tree and lavender is an elective remedy.
* As anti-inflammatory and at the same time invigorating, it is excellent for relieving vascular inflammation, reinforcing the walls of veins and capillaries at the same time, and of course is an excellent liniment against hemorrhoids.
* Reduces appetite, so it is useful for losing weight (for external use only).
* Its astringent action is effective against diarrhea.
* It is a diuretic, therefore it can be useful against cellulite and water retention.
* It has a balancing effect on the libido, probably thanks to the regulatory action on the endocrine system.
EFFECT ON THE SKIN
* It can calm inflammatory states and treat chapped and dry skin, sores and wounds.
* Firms flabby skin, especially after rapid or excessive weight loss.
* It is also useful for acne, wet eczema, athlete’s foot, mycosis, psoriasis and scalp problems such as dandruff.
* Indicated for skin and greasy hair.
* The re-epithelializing properties accelerate the formation of scar tissue; given the regenerative effect on tissues stimulates cell renewal.
EFFECT ON PSYCHES AND EMOTIONS
* Patchouly also has a remarkable toning energy of the CNS, but the powerful aphrodisiac effect attributed to it in the East is not at all obvious: in fact, for those who feel its charm, it is a sensual and wild perfume that lights up fantasies and desires, while for others it smells like mildew, cellars and closed. But when her fragrance is pleasing she takes away all tiredness and numbness from the body and mind, to let a delicious and intriguing freshness emerge.
* Keeps anchored to the ground and is balancing.
* In moderate doses it strengthens and stimulates the CNS but used in excess is sedative.
* Increases mental clarity and objectivity.
* It is useful in cases of depression, frigidity and all stress-related disorders.
Because its warm and earthy aroma helps to bring the mind back to the ground with concrete goals, it can be used to harmonize the first two chakras.
WARNINGS AND CONTRAINDICATIONS
* Very high doses can cause agitation, insomnia, tachycardia and gastrointestinal disorders.
* Contraindicated in pregnancy, in children, anxious subjects.
* Avoid internal use.
