Description

For the specific description of the resin, refer to the page of the Haramy (Canarium madagascariensis).

The colophony (or Rosin) is the residue of resins after having been distilled, usually the conifer resins, also called Greek Pitch, that is, they have been deprived of its essential oil, but the waxes that make up almost all the resins have substances that during the distillation process fail to pass into the steam and thus to divide from the solid mass.
This hypothetical waste in ancient times was diluted with alcohol to obtain glazes, also called in the Mediterranean languages, coppale, used above all in the carpentry to isolate the wood from the temperate agents. In reality the word coppale derives from Copal, a generic name that identifies the resins to be burned for the natives of Central America, in relation to these matters there has always been much confusion.
These materials for those who like to burn resins or make incense mixes are a world to be discovered, they also have an advantage, being impoverished of essential oil it is interesting to have fun adding new essences of any kind, you can create fabulous mixes with lower price since I sell less than half of a normal medium resin.
I advise you to go beyond the injury as a waste product and give it a try.

Aroma: citrus, spicy, slightly sour
