Descrizione
Scientific name: Bulnesia sarmientoi
FAMILY: Zygophyllaceae
Origin of harvest: North Argentina
Tropical tree of South America, its habitat is the temperate woods of the Great Chaco, between Bolivia, Argentina, Paraguay.
Being of the same family as the true Guaiaco and in the local language it means sacred wood, great confusion is made between the true Guaiaco (Gauaicum sacrum or G. officilalis) and the Palo santo but of another family, but the assonance of the name it also brings him closer to this tree, in fact some use it in small pieces like incense.
It looks like a semi-liquid resin, similar to crystallized honey, at about 30 degrees it tends to melt.
Aroma; sweet, woody, spicy, with light bitter tips, a combination of truly unique notes.
I recommend, the Guaiac resin is very liquid, especially in summer, so put the bag in the freezer for about an hour and you will see later you can remove well without waste.
